LANGUAGES

To be properly ladylike, a girl must be cultured. Part of this has to do with speech. We speak softly but clearly, our speech should not be riddled with coarse words or banalities rather it sould entice the ear of the hearer: If you communicate with me, you will notice that I rarely, if ever, use things like "nope", "yeah", "yup", slang or even contractions like "isn't" or "I'm" (Fairy Queen would hide all my tiaras if my speech were less than gracious, saying "They told me they wished to avoid the persons who are without grace, cana canaglia [scumbag dog]"). Just as my skirts bespeak a gracious nature that is an essential part of the feminine, my speech is rich and full. In the feminine, speech is a part of personality as well as a way to convey descriptions and ideas

Part of this is to be able to use several languages. the "Romance" languages are especially inportant. Many girl's names come from them and the Fairies use a language that is much like the Romance languages, even though they are far older as a people than the language from which all these languages came. Can you say "what a lovely tiara that is" in thses langguages?
