You have no idea of the amount of laundry that a place like RUFFLES & RIBBONS can create. Between Alise House and Diana House, we have 70 clothes lines each about 20 feet long and three wash days a week. Between bed sheets, clothes and diapers, our wash load is enormous. and that does not even take into consideration Veronica Court, which has its own facilities.

Because of the way we live, we have a tremendous number of rubber things: Aprons, dresses/babydolls and diapers. The most common item that we must deal with is rubber panties; and in all sizes, too. We have ABOUT 400 pair of them; some for babies and toddlers, some for use on little girls who cannot hold their wet for more than an hour and every girl no matter how old has about 10 pair for chastizement. Then there are the pairs for visiting little girls under 8 years old, our baby care service and for the girls who are always in diapers. Also we have many things that we give away as presents to girls we especially like, such as capes, aprons and most often rubber panties. My rubber nurse's office has many rubber things that I use to test little girls for rubber feeings whose mommies are at their wits' ends and are considering rubber chastizement. We even have a special room where we store our rubber things called "The Rubber Panty Closet", which is actually a small room, and each girl has her rubber closet. We also use quite a bit of rubber for bedspreads, table covers, dresser/beureau toppers, curtains and things like that. As You can see, we use a great deal of rubber.

This is for two reasons.
1. We love to feel it with our hnads.
2. When you have over a dozen girls, provide care for a dozne more and have over a half-dozen visitors and sleepover friends each day, you want as much material that is easy to care for as you can get. Well, rubber is all of that. Given the rest of our laundry load, if these things were made of cloth, we would be inundated. With rubber table covers, spills wipe up. If you ever saw what a little girl can get on her bedspread, even a 16 year old, you would want something that just wipes clean instead of being washed and hung out to dry. Even Sandra andd I have rubber in our rooms as do the other nurses and ladies here. All the bedrooms, whether it is ours or a little girl's, are done pretty much the same way, with only the colors being different: 8 year old Little Tara Lynette's, and 15 year old Denise Rochelle's room is the same as Sandra and mine or Chastity Nurse Tina Monique's. We would be lost without rubber. Also, the wide ariety of colors and prints that are available allow us to have each room look very different although most girls like the pink, white and gold "Princess" or "Fairy" style that lets them display their tiaras, dollies and other very feminine things quite prominently and turns the light that comes through the windows to a soft pink, bathing the occumpants in femininity.

Being waterproof, rubber clothes and things require a bit of special care in terms of drying. Our laundry room is very large with a special section for the rubber things. They are washed in large tubs and dried on long bars over these tubs. For example, my rubber nurse's see-through overdress is hung on a hanger and let to drip dry. This is true of all rubber overdresses, rain capes and things like that. My rubber nurse's apron and all rubber aprons, meaning all the aprons, dry on special racks over the tubs. Every day at about 4 O'Clock, we do the rubber laundry. Now we have no shortage of girls who are willing to do this task and collect them in the morning before school since they all just love to handle that material with very few exceptions.

The largest number of items are rubber panties. They are done in a different way. Immediately after use, they are rinsed in the nearest bathroom, so they do not get put in a batch. That way we know which ones belong to who and the ones that are generally used are washed in the laundry which still means about 15 or 20 pair. For these special items, we have devised a way to dry them that is very effective.

You really cannot put them on the line with the waistband up as water will collect in the par that goes between the legs, and putting them upside down with a clothespin pinches part of the panty and will not let it dry. There have been many attempted solutions like special drying racks that hold the waistband open very wide and hung on a line but that does not solve the problem of water collecting on the between the legs part.

If you are a proper Mommy, Mistress or governess, and wish to keep your litle girl in the D'Arielle fashion, Rubber and especially rubber panties will be very important. If she is in need of constant chastizement then even more so. Part of what I do when a mommy decides to put her little girl in rubber is teach her how to care for the things she will be useing. Among those things is drying rubber panties. Here is what to do.

First, you will want to have a bar or line over the center of the bathtub and running the full length of it. These are quite common and are used to dry delicate items in a convenient manner so that should be no problem.

1. Take a hanger like the one shown. They are quite plentiful and inexpensive.For baby panties you can use one of the small baby clothes hangers and your little girl will want them for her dollies' things.

2. cut one end off so that it looks like this. The one in the picture is several years old and has been well-used.
NOTE: pay attention to the direction of the hook. this will make it such that the open end will be facing out when you put the hanger up.

to use: After rinsing the rubber panties simply run the bottom of the hnager through the leg openingslike this

and hang them on the drying line or bar.

This also has an advantage if your little girl is either an overage wetter or is being chastized. The rubber panties are in plain sight in the bathroom and whoever goes in there will see them and maybe start a conversation in front of your little girl about rubber panties. You have no idea what that does to a 6, 8 or 10 year old or older, especially if it is in front of one of her friends, a frend's mommy (which friend may also be present and hoping that her mommy does not get any ideas, which she knows is a forlorn hope when her mommy says "Oh; I would never do that to my precious little Estelle") or a favorite teacher or other special lady in her life: Tres adorable! Especially if it leads to a skirt-lifting for a demonstration of how you diaper her ("Come on, Babydoll, let us lay you down on the bed after I put down the rubber sheet, and get your skirt up. I can see that you need to be changed": Sooo scrumptious! Your little girl will do all she can to not need diapers and rubber panties as quickly as she can) or chastized her or just to show that she is in diapers now or that she has rubber panties on with nothing under them but baby powder. you have no idea of how priceless that scene can be.
