When the Fairies came to live at what we call Fairyland, they found it a world with very little. As Liselle called it "...an unminted gold coin". They set about making it their world bringing to it the things that they had but also using their magic to create new things. To get or make many of the things they use, they make plants, flowers and tress, which they enjoy in and of themselves. One of the kinds of plants they watned to make were those from which came the material to make clothes, To be sure they had cottons and linens but they wanted better.
Noticing the milkweed they looked at its fibers and though "How wonderful if we could spin that into thread and make a satin from it". So the Flower Lady set about this task and what emerged was a huge plant with pods as long as a persons arm and the fibers also as long. The Fairies would harvest this, plant the seeds that were attached to each bundle of fibers and spin this into a thread from which they would make satin that felt like woven pearl on both sides and looked like it, too. soft, smooth and pearlescent. Since this plant was tended and had no natural enemies or disease in their new world, It thrives and is the basic material and only those clothes that need to be absorbant are made of anthing else
In their love of smooth material, the Fairies created another larage tree, this is a tree that is 30 times as tall as a person and it blossoms during and after a rainstorm and therefore is called a Rainflower Tree. When this happens, the Fairies collect these flowers. As it turns out, or was intended. The flowers, which appear to have multiple petals folded in intricate and complex patterns are in fact one large square petal the size of a small room. When it clipped form the bud base, this unfolds into one large sheet. Thic petal can be see-trhough, semi-see-through, see-throug or semi-see-through colors, pearlescent or iridescent white or colors or just plain white or colors. The Fairies have many such tress.

The material is strong and durable enough to make clothes, which is what the Fairies had in mind so they tried it. But, being non-woven, the material would get sticky and be uncomfortable, so they Fairies who made it said "If we put a fine absorbant powder on the inside, it will not be sticky" so they did. Now they found that the material is too smooth and creates strong feeling where it rubs and they did not like this, especially on the parts of the body that feel things most. the Rainflower Tree also has a sap that when dried, forms a stretchy kind of the same material. ,p> The Fairis found that this material is waterproof and could be used for things like rain cloaks and baby panties, but if you read the story of Queen Tiara and Darylette. They found that the nasty habit the material had of giving strong feelings could be used to chastize bad Fairies and Fairylets (Fairy little girls). This you did by rubbing the material on the more feeling parts of the girl's body so they call the materil "rubber" or "rainflower" we also call it "French Satin"
when the material is harvested it is taken into a large room, cut from the bud base and laid out in sheets and rolled up then put into storage according to it's color. Sap is drawn from the Rainflower Tree, since it is white, some of it is colored. It is then dried and also rolled and stored. This material is stretchy so it has uses in that line as well as for baby-bottle nipples and things like that as well as waterproof things and is also called "rubber". It too, is used for rubber chastizement and we also call it "French Satin"
Soon, rules were made from watching the results or its use that guided persons on how to use it most effectively for chastizement. This was considered part of raising children in Fairyland and a lady was put in charge of all of this and she became known by the titile 'Lady Rubber". Later on, the Fairies decided to trade in this material and the Lady Rubber of that time taught some persons how to care for and use this material to chasitze. Since the original idea of nursing was rasing children, ladies who were taught to use this material on Little Girls have been called "Rubbber Nurse".
