Social networks are the Big Hot Idea of the internet. What they do is offer visitors to a website the cnace to communicate with each other. This has been going on for awhile and was first accomplished by bulletin boards, now called forums and guestbooks that enabled persons tto input material. These were descendents of computer-based communications organs that existed prior to the Internet and Web, such as CompuServe and Prodigy. With the development of the Web these became a part of everyday life for persons. Now these forums include the ability to create photo galleries and blogs. Even businesses are including them in their websites to attract and hold customers. Other examples are Myspace and Facebook which put these kinds of entities on the map
Well, for the longest time The Adult Baby and Diaper Lover and other"alt lifestyle" groups were out of luck since the content of their world touched on sex and even scat and included some pretty unsavory segments so that the major companies would not touch them. With the newly generated Pedophilia mania engendered in large part by the priest scandals, the size of which was blown out of proportion by the media (the actual %age of pedophile priests is not significantly larger than in any other statisical "population". The big deal wahs the way that the Catholic Church [mis]handled it), anything that even said "children" became suspect. This was a deliberate leftist move on the part of the media and predatory lawsuit crowd to gain money and power by taking advantage of the nautural repugnance of such things and making the matter so arcane and esoteric that ordinalry folk cannot understand half of what is said and using the "muddy waters look deep" effect to their own advantage by muddying the waters. The net result of all of t his is that companies like Yanoo started to abolish their AB/DL Adult groups wholesale to be politically correct. Flickr and Photobucket have gotten a case of the blue-noses about what photos and images they will keep or discard and so have webhosts and one must search to find "adult-friendly" facilities and then one has to look them over to see that the do not promote pornography and dowright knucle-dragger filth in their banner ads as does Sexboards which led me to comment once that "given the age-mentality level , that of a 16 year old pea-brained boy hopped up on Ecstacy and meth, of most of the material that you find in of these places, why do they call it 'adult'?". It is this kind of low-grade mondo bizarro excrement that SandraLyn was created to filter out of the Adult Little Girl world
However in the course of a few years, social media software has foind its way into the alt lifestyle community and was adopted. I looked into such and found that the going price was about $US300 and maintenance was about $USUS50/month. This was more than I was willing to put out and why most of the ABDL are either paysites or ad supported
Diaper Times is one of the Adult Baby/Diaper Lover social networks. Social Networks are websites that provide space for members to register, put up profiles, blogs and image galleries, thus establishing a presence as ABDL on the Web.
DIAPER TIMES IS OFFICIALLY BANNED HERE AND IS NOT TO BE LISTED ON LittleGirlLand PROFILES OR ANTHING PERTAINING TO RUFFLES & RIBBONS GIRLS' HOME. HERE IS WHY: Christine Daryleanne Paradise joined Diaper Times and listed this site as here favorite. Twice the link disappeared and was repplaced (thinking that the disappearance was an accident), upon the third removal this was put on her profile page. These are actual images.
Which drew this response
Which led to
We have here a claim of the practice of censorship and a denial. This is what I got at Web Definitions when I googled up "censorship definition"
Censorship is the suppression of speech or deletion of communicative material which may be considered objectionable, harmful, sensitive, or inconvenient to the government or media organizations as determined by a censor.First: By banning this site and actively removing the link without notifying Christine Daryleanne until the third time (adding insult to injury), Diaper Times was deleting "communicative material...[pick your 'why']". Also they are subject to the same treatment here by the principle of reciprocity ("Do unto others as you would have them do unto you") and are getting it.
Second: RUFFLES & RIBBONS GIRLS' HOME is put togehter in the same way, by the same logic and only with different content as my other non-ABLG sites. Of one of my other sites a friend who had been in the computer field, either as hobby or business for 30+ years said "Pretty good for a hand-coded site". In terms of being "put together" the other sites are no different. They both conform to the same standards I created for experiential sites; that is, places rather than publication.
Third: This is the first such complaint and one of only about three in total. RUFFLES & RIBBONS GIRLS' HOME goes back over a decade. I first created it at FriendPages/MSN-Talk City, where from the visitors, it recieved the highest ratings in both Quality and Traffic and only moved in its entirety to Talk City when FriendPages got uptight about having adult content. In its first year, RUFFLES & RIBBONS GIRLS' HOME was the reference rubber diaper nursery for Wetville at Bytemine becuase of its use and expertise with rubber diapers and chastizement. as well is its Fairy connection: At least once "Aunt Julia" mentioned "checking at the nursery" about putting rubber under one of her girls' diapers. It remaned at Talk City until they went out of the webhosting business in c 2005, While there it was in the upper 40% ratings in Personal pages at DPF. It served as the focal point of, ultimately, a Yahoo Group with over 300 members. After the end of TC I was offered space on a domain owned by one "Frost Elf", a then 23 year old girl who said "...the content is unstoppable." but declined as I wished to retain control of this site. It was hurriedly moved to GeoCities and was in the process of being properly edited when Yahoo decided to remove the adult content, especially ABLG from its adult content section (Yes, I know; "go figure"). However the site remained open after the creation account had been deleted until GeoCities free ceased to exist in 2009. In May of 2010, it moved to its present location. In about 2004 I had one of those moments thatt was both terribly embarrassing and terribly proud: I had to explain that RUFFLES & RIBBONS GIRLS' HOME was not a "real" physical place
Does this sound to you like the history of a "poorly put together site" that is "questionable and in bad taste"?
As far as being "questioable and in bad taste", how did it score so well in two separate rating systems? What do you think that most persons think of ABDL sites with 20-somethings whose posts look like they were written by retarded hamsters, Sissies, Babyfurs and especially the Poopers? and as far as not being associated with such sites. Nice to hear from the Van Snoots: Snobbery in Alternative Lifestyle Land?!!? ROTFLMAO!!!!!! The last thing in the world we need are holier-than-thou get-a-lifers who get their rubber panties all in a bunch at one of the persons who "built this city" and to whom they owe thier existence here. Beyond that, If I were to get a professional website designer, would this be a personal, free or ad-free site? Du-uh!! and I've got the time. you got the money, honey? Again, referencing my other sites, most of the visitors like the "homebrew" aspect since it bespeaks Real People rather than the slick but shallow treatment of a complex subject by those who really have no depth or stake in the field or who will pretzellate themselves into the most bizarre shapes in order to avoind offending someone. I have a three-gnerations old understanding of the field, I know that there is always someone who will be offended and I have enough of a command of HTML to do the job. RUFFLES & RIBBONS GIRLS' HOME is a one-person operation that evolved naturally.
"Questionable"? By What Standards? No standards were clearly presented at any place at any time. So this person has the credibility of a Bernie Madoff; really. In "Bad taste"? De gustibus non disputam; How do you argue taste in an area that accepts deliberately soiling oneself (which we do not do)? In fact they allow images, language and subject matter that would not even get in the door here: The aforenamed deliberate self-defacation -- including images and have you ever seen some of what goes with sissy and sissification? At least soft-core porn. Then there are the vulgarities, profanity and obscenities. Granted we are s specialized place and do not claim to be open to all, So what is Diapertimes' excuse and who do they think they are fooling? In terms of being filth free, I will go head to head with them, or anybody, anytime. However they did not even give it any shot, I saw no code of conduct, let alone their best shot and come off as conceited hypocrites. At least that is my reaction.
Beyond all of this, what about Diaper Times as a network? In a word, compared to Daily Diaper and Diaperspace, sub-par. Their gallery appears to just be one collection of members' images. Their blogs look nothing like blogs and we did not see a forum. They use an implementation of the Elogg system which I downloaded. This would be a 2di4 system for a general purpose site like RUFFLES & RIBBONS GIRLS' HOME as an add-on in-house "club" if I can figure it out; but for a dedicated network whose owner looks down her nose at others on the basis of professionalism?!? You have got to be teasing my tiara!
There are certain thangs that make a network unacceptable; Censorship of a non-controversial site is one of those
BOTTOM LINE: BANNED! Avoid
Sadly, the same appears to be true at Diaperspace.
Christine Daryleanne set up a RUFFLES & RIBBONS GIRLS' HOME group at Diaperspace, that remained there for two months or so. On or about August 27 it vanished. Treating this as an accident, Christine put a post on the technical support forum. It too, vanished. She reposted on about August 29. By August 31, that had also vanished. Early in her membership, she tried to to upload some picutres to the gallery and they did not show up. It was just attributed to "one of those things". Perhaps it should have been a wake-up call.
No private communication was sent to her about any of this
Now, DS has a reputation for being wild and wooly, including allowing groups of self-soilers and images of private parts and was described by members of Daily Diapers as a "cesspit"
Now in this case I cannot be sure if this is what it appears to be, since it was not as overt as Diaper Times' action, but there is the old saying "First time; circumstance. Second time; coincidence. Third time; conspiracy". On the other hand Diaperspace is often hard to access and appears to be run by an absentee owner a bit incompetently. Unlike Diaper Times, which was a case of snootyness, this is a case of one or more self-absorbed losers doing what a low-grade 20-something with far too much power and free time does without even having the courage of its convictions enough to stand up and take ownership of its actions
BOTTOM LINE: BANNED! Avoid
Some time in July, Christine Daryleanne found DIAPER BOOK. This promosed to be a very desireable Facebook for ABDL's: A real find! so she joined and we prepared to put it on our social media framework.
ON August 3 she did a review of Comco panties with picutres
Returning to Myy Profile, She got this
On clicking the X-rated image and scrolled down, this was found
Also x-rated by the same "person" was
Christine followe the reporting instructions to the webmaster which had since been done over 5 more times and reported this bit of business on the forum
This clearly shows a lack of competent adinistrative and moderator supervision. Now if these things are allowed, particularly peer-to-peer tampering, What other privacy and security compromises and breaches are there? that is the reason for our policy not to have "in-site direct peer-to-peer access" and why we did not even acquire the ability for it. As the owner of SandraLyn, I pride myself on avoiding and warning about these kinds of sites so, unless they straighten out, Diaper Book is banned from here. It is a wonderful idea that has been badly implemented; that is a shame
It appears that Diaper Book is on the way to being another cesspool and maybe a dangerous one, too. They have quite a bit of cleaning up to do
BOTTOM LINE: BANNED! Avoid
ABDL Pixel is another social network and the featrues include the ususal suspects: user forum, photos, blogs, profile and videos, but it also has provisions for music playlists, Questions, Groups and "Links". The list, if all worked, is impressive. The profile is a Facebook style timelin. In general, a likable palce but that was before the bloom came off the rose after about a month
Christine was there for about a month and this is what it was like. First, Tech Support: The software, self-written by the owner, is buggy. Christine could not access a couple of the user features or edit (change), specifically "Save Changes" in some of the sections of the "Info [about me]". After going through the whole process and seeing on the screen that the changes were saved, when she went to the profile page, the changes had not been saved. She reloaded to be certain and it looked the same as before the attempted edits. Also I could not edit the music playlists, again the edit and save were shown to have taken place but that was just not so. Chrsitine twice reported these in a period of two weeks and got no response
They have no LG culture to speak of. Also the self-soilers have far too much of a free reign. In general the culture there is not as well developed as Daily Diapers, but that is true of most places anyway. It is just that you do not appreciate how good DD is until you look elsewhere and even they have flaws but those are minor and are part of the ABDL/Alt Lifestyle scenery
The final straw was when Christine noticed a 29 year old member giving his home and cell phone number on a forum and commented on it as being a "newbie mistake" to give the person a heads up in the manner which would be done at Daily Diaper, if a mod had not acted first. She was told "this was a locked forum, needing an account to see anything, so no harm was done, like there was no such thing as hackers, and a real moron of 44 years of age who lives not more than 20 miles from her gave her some guff about "he's not hurting anybody else" and that it was his risk to take. Now, anyone over the age of 10, with a year's experience and a moiety of their marbles would not knowingly take that risk. and Christine got no support. Who needs
One would have to say that what you have is a great idea but an overly population of airheads, wingnuts, malcontents and other cases of Tight Tiara syndrome. We have no desire to be around such mental midgets. If they are that uncaring about things like personal security and technical problems, there is an excellent chance that the site would pose a privacy and security hazard
We must conclude that with this kind of population that ABDLl Pixel should not be on one's to-do list. This is a pity because they have some good ideas
BOTTOM LIN: (sadly) Avoid
DAILY DIAPER
Daily Diaper is a website totally devoted to the diaper afficianado It has some fine resources like the diaper museum. Like all of these sites it is ad-supprted and contribution supported. Given what social networking software costs both to buy/install and maintain in both monthly fees and time it is no surprise
On the plus side members get photo galleris and blogging facilities that make it worthwhile. In December of '11. Daily Diaper did put in a Little Girl Form in "Adult Kids". DD is the only social network that has potentially fully functionl Adult Kids. Little Girl: "from diaper [frowned on at best on other LG sites] to dolly"; and Little Boy cultures. That they are not is a refliction on the membership and not the site owner. It's there to use. With it's use of the BBCode system. Daily Diapers is amenable to expansion of resources by the members if they know how to do it. Christine's REVIEWS is a splendid example as is some of her work elsewhere, as well as a very customizable profile "about me" like CHRISTINE'S. While there are not social groups per se, DD does have and lets members set up private, protected forums that can serve as the basis for such with a bit of knowledge and creativitity: We have one such. "DailyDi and his posse keep the site in as good condition as can be expected of an alt lifestyle / fetish site
ON the minus side there is a "furry" and scat forum Also on the mminus side, the vast bulk of the membership is under 40 so most of the discussion is about throw-away diapers and there are too many of the 20nothings who do not seem to know or care where the shift and punctuation keys are. This is a kind of creepiness in the sense of mental illness and lighter-than-ait headedness that add to the reputation of the Web as the home of the IQ=shoesize brigades. Also there are some obscenity-wielding knuckle draggers and other sub-human types. All of this caused PayPal to drop Daily Diaper on the ground of it being a porn site. This kind of thing infects most any alt lifestyle and especially "fetish" sites and is the unsavory aspect of living in a free society that the left usued to glorify until they found that they could manipulate the natural distaste of the masses for the unsavory to gain power and money. There is far to much off-topic for my liking, too with things like forum for Depression that is often just a whine forum, diets, evictions and the inevitable Gen X/Y phenomenon of the 25+nthing still living with his parents who he does not want to see his diapers: In short, the kind of thing we really do not need to hear. In the case of Daily Diaper, or DD you can set your membership to avoid such things by choosing to "follow" those forums of interest or ignoring such persons that you find distasteful. However, like all forums, the occasional troublemaker creeps in
On the whole, DD is woth the time and effort and is the only major ABDL social media site that we find fully acceptable at this time and we use it
BOTTOM LINE: Join
They looked promising, but any network that has in the "I am a..." menu "Furry" and "Sissy" but not "Little Girl" or an "Adult Kid" choice is not worth bothering with. when Christine started to join and found that out, she did not finish the process
BOTTOM LINE: Do not bother
On the plus side is that we can add features to our hearts' content. The "downside" is that each member has to see to the upkeep of her end of things. She must choose the photo and video display resources that she is to use, she must maintain her contact lists
I think that the advantages such as privacy and security, expandability, content control, number and types of features and custom quality of the experience outweigh the work, most of which is do-once, not that hard and we provide as much guidence and tools as we can to make it easy. Beyond that, the habits of self-care, self-defense and self-responsibility that this all engenders in a person will serve her well in the world at large as well as being valuable life skills.
What I find wrong with these places, and this even includes those we use, alas, albeit much less so, falls into two categories:
My point here is that I am appalled at the overall quality of ABDL/alt lifestyle places and will do all in my power to keep RUFFLES & RIBBONS GIRLS' HOME and all things SandraLyn as far above that level and as true to life as I can. The whole point of SandraLyn is to have as truely a feminine experience as you can; from the pretty and cute names, to the dresses, dollies, tiaras, Fairies, even the chastizement, and everything that is part of our way of life. That is what makes SandraLyn the place "where a Little Girl knows she is a Little Girl and a LITTLE Girl"
x

This is our private club. it was patterned after Yahoo Groups and is evolving itno a social media framework rather than a social network. I wanted to create a full-blown social network that would meet SandraLyn specifications as expressed in the Code of Conduct and Contact Ettiquette. I searched for social media software but what I found would cost about $US300 and $US50/month to buy and maintain. That would not allow me to keep RUFFES & RIBBONS GIRLS' HOME either free or non-ad supported. This menat I had to work around such problems I did so by looking for and listing resources that would allow persons to store images, and videos. make use of the ability to use webmail emailers to create contact lists and use them in the same way that Yahoo Groups used their email lists and find other things that we could use for security and privacy. The only things we do not have are polls and surveys. I also integrated Daily Diaper and will integrate other acceptable ABDL social networks into LittleGirlLand whenever I can. Also, it being the case that unsavory characters are about in alt lifestyle-land I keep a strong and visible Admin presence. This is perfectly in keeping with my character as Discipline Nurse. What I have set up is a distributed social network with the parts being off-site to a large measure and under the control of each member
It is taken for granted that the alt lifestyle-scape is one of piggishness, perversion and pornography. inhabited by creeps, cretins, craziess and criminals. When I must ban outright the majority or even a large minority of general ABDL social networks and the rest are not ecactly stellar and I must create a "network" out of what I can find, one has to wonder if that perception is not well-earned. My benchmark is the mid 1980's DPF. The point of SandraLyn's creation was to have a place of sanity in this area. Now there will always be a bit of the sense of taboo: That is what puts the "alt" in "alt lifestyle". But does that mean it has to "scare the horses"? I think not. For sure it needs to be "private" but so do financial transactions. It does not have to be "dirty" or smell like a badly kept barn or be a source of disease. As I have said. Just about everything in RUFFLES & RIBBONS GIRLS' HOME was pretty mainstream where I grew up, the only difference being that I have put it on steroids. I saw many babies being changed even into my early 20's and I noticed that, in many cases, Mommy would run her hand over the panties lightly a few times. She was not using enough pressure to smooth out anything so I took it that she was feeling the material and I have seen and had the "rubber diaper" used and used on me a few times.
In short the kinds of things you will not find at anything SandraLyn
