CARING FOR RUBBER PANTIES
This might seem more properly a part of babycare but it is in home economics because if you run your home according to D'Arielle principles then rubber panties will be an important part of your family's world for some time, upwards of 20 years in some cases. Even if your "Little Girl" is 15 or even 19 you will want some chatizement materials around "just in case" she starts to get too big for her skirts, or thinks she is: Some time spent in a rubber diaper and rubber babydoll will show her otherwise. It is a good idea to know how to take care of them.
IN GENERAL
- Start right by using OUR RECCOMMENDED RUBBER PANTIES on your baby, little girl or dolls. They are of good quality, are very feminine and feel just sooooo scrumptious that you will enjoy putting them on her, which helps to ensure that you will not consider using them a bothersome chore as well as make her aware that she is a Little Girl and she better act like one or guess whose skirt will be lifted or who will be changed in front of just everyone
- If you are getting them for a Little Girl, and not a baby, take the time with your Little Girl to make her understnad that they are FOR HER. Make sure she sees them and feels them thoroughly and knows everything about them. Take the time, about 10 minutes to acquaint her with them; even gently rub them on her cheek and lips to make certain that she is very aware of what they are. This may make her cry so be ready to do some cleaning up. This is also good to teach her what the best rubber panties are to put on her dollies
- If Little Girl's waist is near the upper upper "waist" listed on the chart, move up one size, it will accommdate thicker diapering and put less strain on the elastics so they will last longer
- Keep them away from heat and use hot water very, very rarely and not at at all unless the material is very thick and you wish to dye them to match an outfit. Rinsing in warm water and occasionally a very mild or dilute soap and good rinse will clean them just fine
- Dry over the tub, avoid outside drying as it harms the material a bit each time
- Keep them "fluffed up" so that they do not get all scrunched up
- Inspect thoroughly from time to time being sure to feel over all of the panty
- Before using them for the first time, Wash them throughly
CLEANING. The best way to make rubber panties last longer is to clean them right after use. Wet is very strong and can casue harm if not removed soon
ITEMS and SUPPLIES:
- A drying bar or line over the bathtub. You may also want a foldable drying rack for the snap-on panties if you wish to dry them in large numbers with the snaps open
- for pull-on panties, several of our RUBBER PANTY HANGERS
- If you also use snap-on panties, as we reccomend;
- You can dry snap-on panties on an orinary hanger by just opening up the snaps and putting the panties over the bottom of the hanger
- A waterproof container big enough to hold all the rubber panties that you will be washing when you wash and dry the diapers
- A closable container large enough to hold all the rubber panties that you just cleaned while you wait for enough diapers to make a full load or loads
- A spray bottle with a mixture of Rite-Aid baby lotion and water
We use two pair, the innermost pair is a snap-on and gets changed with the diaper. The second pair is a pull on and is changed at the beginning of each day. We reccomend this. For our "Special needs" girls we use a third pair that matches either her (short) dress or blouse
HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THE RUBBER PANTIES:
- This method will keep them clean and make them smell fresh after that "new smell" is gone if you want them to although if the Little Girl is being chastized we do like the outer pair of panties to smell like dried wet, like the rest of her clothes (usually rubber) and her, but that is for our difficult "special needs" girls and is a third pair of rubber panties
- immediately after use. rinse out the panties throughly in warm water
- Next
- put the pull-on panties on the Rubber Panty Hanger by sliding the hanger through the leg openings inside out to dry
- Put the opened snap-on panties on a regular hanger if you wish or you can just put them on a rubber panty hanger to dry
- Laundry: wash the panties in a mild solution of soap and warm water. you can use dish detergent if you wish but only in a very small amount, then rinse thoroughly. If you rinse them properly after use this should be all that is necessary and dry as before
- when they are dry or mostly dry, Spry them with the mixture of baby lotion and water and let dry
- When these are fully dry, put them in the large closed container. This keeps the smell of baby lotion contained so it stays strong. The material picks up smells so that after awhile, the baby fresh smell will become part of the material and be hard to get out, which is what you want
- If you wish to add to the baby fresh smell of the rubber panties, a couple of days before the diapers are to be wahsed, take the rubber panties that go with the diapers and make a strong mix of baby lotion and warm water. put the panties in, let them soak for a day or so then dry them, using the Rubber Panty Hangers again for the pull-on panties and unfolding a drying rack and putting it in the tub and putting the snap-on panties over them to dry
Fold the diapers, put the snap-on panties over them and put the pull-on panties where you keep them
