Little Girls love to express themselves in pictures, speech and writing. This section is for things that do just that and use images like pictures, wallpaper and other screen and print items. This also includes fonts and calligraphy, a long, grownup word that means fancy writing. This is taught at the Girls' School

ARTS & CRAFTS

These are things to make and really use. A Little Girl may make them or a grownup, like a mommy, mistress or nurse may make them for her Littl Girl(s). Mostly they are paper itmes that you will print out and then copy or have copied. much of your acitivity will be saving things that are pictures from which to make other things. to do this:

You should be familiar with the basic skills. That is in the Girls' School
To save the item:
1. Click on the image below to take you to thepage where the4 actaul items are
2. Right-click and then Save image or Save image as...s.
3. Find the folder you wish to put the things in and open it
4. Since you will most likely be doing things with them, select bitmap "bmp" for the file type or save as is and convert to bmp if your drawing program needs that filetype. Get the Fairy Wand a bit further up this page. It enables you to do just about anything you wish

Just about everything here covers the full range of creativity from the very ready made pre-fabricated for the novice (or the experienced who likes what she sees or does not wish to put in the time) to the do-it-yorself versions (identified with "DO-IT-YOURSELF", PLAIN" or in some other way to show that this is not a ready made item).

USING THE DO-IT-YOURSELF VERSIONS OF THINGS

When you have the items "home" just call up the background images in your drawing program and Save as under a different filename. Then call up that file and put the picture images using Edit/Paste from. if you know how to set them up for use by using Stretch/skew and moving them into place. A good source for topic-related images are our PICTURE PACKAGE: a package of over 150 pictures. These are already in a folder and in the most usable form for most applications; bitmaps, IrfanView can convert them as a batch to whatever you want. You can use them for craft projects as well as any pictures you find here. The Picture Package images are sized with a height of about 200. This makes them usable for most anything and if they need resizing, then, for most purposes there should not be any rpoblems. If you use what is in our Audio/Graphics Package the editor in there can resize over quite a range with little or no problem

You can become a RUFFLES & RIBBONS GIRLS' HOME Artist in your own right. Using the DIY items, you create several of each kind of thing, like sticker sets, walllpaper, bookmarkers etc; even desktop themes. You then zip them up in a zip file and send them to me. I create a page, the title of which is your fist and middle Little Girl name, unzip the items and set everything up like this page/ Be sure to sign what you can by using your drawing program, setting up your signature with its background set to transparent so that what is there will show through your signature and signing your RUFFLES & RIBBONS GIRLS' HOME name over the SandraLyn "watermark". That way, if anyone wants to remove your signature, they must also remvoe the "watermark" which means that tampering will be noticeable. Your signature over the watermark will show that it is authentic and yours

USING AS PRINTED ITEMS
If you wish to make multiple copies to use as printed notepaper or the like, the best thing to do is print what you want out once and take them to a color copier and make as many as you need or submit them to a printer as a job.

Many sites like DailyDiapers make it possible for you to leave images on a status update. So we have for you a kit to make "calling cards" like this one. Requires IrfanView to join the image section to the text section. Includes provisions to make animated cards and scratch-built images for the left side

As part of building LITTLE CHRISTINE'S DOLLHOUS on Daily Diapers, we found a soooo little girl frame with a picture in it. We saved it. overcolored the image and added the 3D gold bezel, then made an embossed gold one from it. If you would like them, and more, for yourself, take them and work with them as you wish.
